Abstract

The "aging society" issue is not isolated to Japan alone.

It is becoming a topic worldwide in many developed countries, including America, as the population of aged (those over 65) becomes larger than the population of youth.

While in America, the issue of healthcare and the pension system is currently in flux and subject to change, the future for the baby boomer age becomes increasingly concerning.

I will discuss the situation in America, and possible measures that could be looked into to foster higher birthrates in developing countries.
