経歴

リビウ・オルテアウ博士は、多文化的な生活の軌跡と学問的背景の下、スペインとヨーロッパの市民権を有している。彼は、共産党独裁政権下のルーマニア西部のトランシルバニアで育ち、ブカレスト、マドリッド、オックスフォード、ジュネーブ、ニューヨーク、ブリュッセルの各都市で学び、働いた。彼は現在、AIDLR(国際信教の自由防衛連盟)の事務総長を務めており、また、AIDLRの国連、欧州議会、欧州評議会、欧州安全保障協力機構への代表を務めている。

Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Liviu Olteanu (liviu.olteanu@aidlr.org) is a Spanish and European citizen with a multicultural life trajectory & academic background; grew up in Transylvania Romania during the communist dictatorship; he studied and/or worked in Bucharest, Madrid, Oxford, Geneva, New York and Brussels; leaded humanitarian projects in Africa. He is currently the Secretary-General of the International Association for the Defense of Religious Liberty (AIDLR) and representative in its behalf at the UN, the European Parliament, the Council of Europe and the OSCE.

After his Bachelors’ degrees in theology and law, Liviu achieved Masters’ degrees in education, laws, theology, human rights, international studies and diplomacy and the PhD in Law Summa Cum Laude following doctoral studies at the universities of Oxford and Madrid on United Nations’ Diplomacy in Action for the Protection of Human Rights and Religious Liberty. Olteanu as author of the multidisciplinary/ multi-institutional frame ‘Dialogue Five’ on diplomats, politicians, religious leaders, academia, civil society/others, initiated and he co-organized with the UN Office of Genocide Prevention, the First (2016) and the Second Global Summit on Religion, Peace and Security (2019); he organized in Madrid the First (2014), Second (2016) and Third (2018) International Conference on Human Rights and Religious Liberty cosponsored by Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Justice. For Olteanu the respect for dignity of every human being and the defense of the principle of freedom of religion or belief for all people, must be the key for peace, security and understanding between people, religions and cultures. Also he is editor and (co)author of magazines and books such as: Conscience and Liberty, Agents and Ambassadors for Peace, Religious Freedom’s Influence on Peace and Security, Diplomacy and Education for Religious Freedom A Priority for Public Policy, and the founder of the Ambassadors for Liberty, Hope and Peace journal, and the International Award of Excellency Liberty and Peace. www.aidlr.org
